CHAIR - SERIES I

SERIES I CAPTUM BIOMORFE is a group of nine sculpture works created by New York artist Jonathan Hansen. The Series is a sculptural exploration of the concepts of captivity and freedom with the central reference point of second century Roman sculpture of the human body. 

The Chair is carved from a single block of Carrara Marble with cast quartz resin over the biomorphic surface. The char sits on a base made of bronze.
